In 2010, Elias began apprenticing as a plumber under the mentorship of a longtime plumber and family friend. Throughout his technical training, he worked as an apprentice-plumber for various construction companies. Throughout his training, he also remained involved in the residential service industry.

Following the completion of his plumbing and gasfitting certifications, Elias joined multiple locale plumbing companies, many of which focused on both the residential and commercial sectors. Their guidance and experience helped give Elias the skills to start Galpin Plumbing & Heating Ltd.
